I believe there are a number of very reasonable marinas in the New Bern, NC
area. New Bern is on the Neuse River, a few miles above the ICW and
Oriental. Prices appear to be a bit lower than those on or closer to the
waterway. New Bern has the advantages of a mid-size city with several boat
chandleries, transportation, everyday facilities, etc.
