What a great idea. I'm eager to read the responses... Seems like lots of
technical hurdles, like movement of the boat, waves, and me standing naked
in the cockpit when I sneak out for 3am relief :)

Does anyone have a plans or leads on how to make a 12v proximity
switch, so the spreader lights come on when one approaches the boat.
Seems like a great idea for both when coming to the boat at night and
letting unwanted boarders know they may be being watched.
