Buy a cheapie home alarm system...
Most of them will come with an infrared sensor...
The better ones will come with a "dual" sensor, IR and RF sensing combined, to reduce false
alarms...
Most of the sensors will run on 9vdc or 12vdc and will provide a jumper selected normally open or
normally closed circuit, and should not require the alarm to actually be installed to operate...
Radio Shack sometimes has alarm components for sale separately...
