Subject: [worldcruising] found one and reworded it -- thanks all

Hello and thanks to you all.
I've filtered through the suggestions -- and never get tired of Sea Fever
incidentally -- it's one of my favorites, but Daddy's always been a cruiser,
so we had to have something a bit more for power vessels than that one....
Anyway, this is the one we picked:
http://www.members.boardhost.com/redphoenix/msg/71.html
(if you were curious that is)
and have reworded it to this:
Captain Ed, stranded on sands of time,
Stored in mirages, illusions of my mind....
You might think your journeys just haven't mattered,
As you've lost your oars, and you're all tattered.
That's not a bit true and we are all glad as can be
To have known a man who gave so much just to be free.
Don't fear the adventure as the water is not cold,
Imagine the treasures its' depths can hold.
You thought the horizon is where it all ends,
Unaware that the ending is where it begins.
Grandpa, Daddy, Husband and Friend,
You've been stranded in the sands of shore.
Crank up the engine and raise the anchor.
Glance at your compass, and head out to sea,
Oh Captain, stranded, it's time to be free!
I love you Grandpa-on-the-Boat. God Bless you always....
Anyway, We sold the boat last week -- new owner seems like a terrific
fellow, though a bit of a boating neophyte. The thing we like most is that
he really loves our/ his boat. Since Daddy built her a long time ago, that
pleases us. Though we'd started out on http://www.boattraderonline.com/ a
local broker who knew the boat for a dozen years or so did get our listing.
He got a lot of action, and the first fellow with money bought her. Two
others were in line too, so.... Anyway, a plug for Gulf Coast Yacht Sales
(Marathon Office -- Gene is the broker there -- 305-743-6368) He got us a
quick sale.

oast&boat_id=913210 if you were curious.
Some day... anyway, if you should see the Butch on her journey -- she's
heading for Mississippi apparently, do nod your head. She's a great boat
and I was so fortunate to grow up aboard her.
Janice, daughter of Butch and Ed Marois
Sure do wish I'd found my dolls though. Somewhere in my cabin -- or maybe
tossed in a cleaning binge. That's the frustrating part -- knowing you had
something and not being able to locate it. You'd think with just 40 feet
they wouldn't be so hard to find two books and tiny porcelain dolls in a
small thank you note box.....
Oh well, that's life.
