Subject: [worldcruising] Cortez Pirate victims friend asks info from WorldCruising...

Last evening after reading about the reported capture
of those who attacked the solo sailor in mexican
waters I passed the news along to another group I
participate in. The following email arrived minutes
ago:
"HI Geres, I noticed on the CWBB, your copy of
comments that the attackers have been
caught. The victim, Bob Medd, is a personal friend of
mine and a member of our Aloha Owners Association (his
boat "TLC" was an Aloha 34) there are many friends
and aquiantances of Bob's here in Victoria
(Sidney) BC. Canada, where he lived on the boat for
several years before departing last Sept for Mexico.
Obviously we are all anxious to gather as much
information as possible. He has just today, Tuesday
arrived here in Calgary Alberta where one of his two
daughters lives, and will be treated at the
Foothills Hospital as an outpatient.
This latest piece of information looks very
interesting. While it won't bring Bob's beloved boat
"TLC" back, nor will it recover all he has now
lost, it does give some solace that the
perpetrators of such a crime may be caught and
punished.
If you could provide us any more information it
would be greatly appreciated. What is the bulletin
board that you got the information from?
Can I get access to it? Is it possible to put those
folks that posted the information in touch with
me?
