Roger/Eric, your message creates another question at least for me.
I quote from your message:
"Something I'd like to know is if his insurance was cancelled earlier
this year along with a lot of other boaters as Lloyds of London
cancelled all their boat policies. Something about not having enough
reserves."
I have my insurance underwritten by Lloyds. Don Street/Waterborne
also of London are the agency representing Lloyds. I renewed on 10
April 2001 with no problems, no increase in my insurance cost, and a
competitive % when compared with Pantaneus (the second largest
pleasure yacht underwriter).
To my knowledge Blue Water is only an agency and in fact has had one
of their underwriters (French I believe) withdraw.
Where did you hear about Lloyds cancelling "all of their boat
policies". I would obviously like to run this to ground.
Thanks.
