A good anchorage is at the old Marine Stadium, but there are no services
there and very isolated. No dinghy landing available (technically although
people do it). People also wait to cross to the Bahamas in No Name Harbor.

We got a mooring at Rickenbacker Marina - was about $200/month for your
size boat. DInghy dock was a joke, and one has to pay to go across the
causeway (we got a flash pass which wasn't too expensive for our daughter's
truck), but no fixed bridges problem. The piers are fixed, and didn't look
too good, but security is good.

There is also Crandon Park marina, which may take non-transients but we
couldn't get a slip there. Miami Beach Marina which is very convenient is
very expensive and the boat got very dirty there.

Dinner Key also has moorings which are not too expensive.
