We offerred 14K at first sight, before the sea trial/survey. Seller
counterofferred 15K, but said she might bring it down after the
survey if necessary. Apparantely the boat hasn't been out of the
water since April of 1998 - the surveyor rated the paint condition
as "fair." It needs a lot of repairs such as removing the large
blisters on the hull and keel. Also, there are small blisters
covering the entire hull like the chicken pox!
Also, it seems that at some point, the boat ran aground or hit
something. There's a shallow gash on the port side of the hull;
surveyor says it's fixable. Also a hole in the keel that was patched
up badly while still underwater - surveyor recommended removing the
bad patch job (epoxy, I think) and resanding & refilling it.
It's not opening right now, but I'll check it later. Thanks!
