Subject: [worldcruising] Depth Sounder Advice

I have recently acquired a yacht which sports an aged Seafarer 3
Depth Sounder. The type with the "propeller" inside and the red blip
that denotes the depth. It appears to be reading a steady 2m deeper
than reality. Can anyone provide advice on how to calibrate such a
beast?
