Subject: [worldcruising] Sample Crew List

My response may not be totally correct but at a high level the gross is a
calculation of the total displacement of the boat if it were filled to the
point of sinking. The net is again theoretical and is the cargo capacity.
Mine were calculated by Bureau Veritas when I was registering the boat.
The only reason I list them is because the figures in our registration or
Blue Book must match the ships particulars on the crew list.

Dave
Thanks for the Crew List. When I look at my Documentation I find there is a
2 ton difference in my Gross and Net. Is this the load capacity of the boat?
