I don't think so. Ground loops seldom have much current. Connect a VOM, set
on DCmA between engine block and DC negative (engine off) and see it there's
any current flowing. If there is less than a few mA, I wouldn't worry. You
could install a battery disconnect switch in the DC negative to the starter
and turn it off when you secure the engine.
