The further south you go the less chance of hurricanes

Subject: [worldcruising] Caribbean Marinas

I would like to leave our 50 foot sailboat at a secure and attractive
marina in the southern Caribbean throughout June and the early part
of July whilst we fly back to the UK. Does anyone have any
recommendations? Rodney Bay in St Lucia looks the most likely but it
is a long two hour taxi ride from the International Airport.
Has anyone experience of marinas in St Vincent or Grenada (the new
facility called Grenada Marine seems to deal only with haul outs and
I want to leave the boat in the water so she can be used by friends
from time to time)
We would also like to spend some time cruising Dominica ... any
recommendations, good anchorages, places not to miss?

david and Heni (Galatea)
