Hi Lex again,
I was just checking... I'm glad to hear that because I have the CM550. I
haven't done a long cruise with this boat yet, but so far the autopilot has
performed well. It seems like a bullet proof system. Very well built.
Practical Sailor, in it's review of auto pilots, ranked it at the top at the
beginning of their article. Then somehow they (PS) forgot about it by the time
they reached the end of the article... They said something ignorant like "they
didn't know if Coursemaster could keep up with the software changes in the
future"! Now I notice that CM has redesigned their whole line.. Their rep in
NYC is Tops also...
I believe that Practical Sailor, even though they don't take revenue from
advertisers, panders to what the majority of people like at times. I let my
subscription expire after reading that opinion. That's not to say that PS
doesn't have good advise in their Magazine at times.
