It does not matter who you register with. So long as you registered.
I am in Australia and I am registered with USA. Because that is were I
started with the EPIRB

Quick question on this subject, if I have an EPIRB do I register with the US
Coast Guard or in the BVI?

If you are considering registering your yacht in the British Virgin
Islands the following is a helpful web site that outlines the
financial and institutional requirements for a limited company in
the BVI.
