An addition to my previous post. The maximum suggested displacement and
boat length for each of the larger tillerpilots is:

Simrad TP10 11,00 lbs. 34'
Simrad TP30 14,00 lbs. 42'
Autohelm ST2000 Plus 10,000 lbs. 36'
Autohelm ST4000 Plus 14,300 lbs. 45' in addition there is a larger optional
drive "GP" drive unit that takes the rating to 20,000 lbs.

Thus with your 7 ton boat you would be inviting the equipment to fail by
installing something that would be working at its maximum safe load. The
only one that comes close is the Autohelm ST4000 with its Gran Prix drive
and I suspect that is simply a drive off one of their larger rams that are
designed to push/pull the quadrant of wheel based steering.
