Rick has some good advice. Bikes are a target for theft or abuse. But
if you can't stand arriving without your own transport, there are a
number of folding bikes that you can choose from that range from not too
expensive ($250US) through mega-expensive ($2,500US).

Be careful about choosing a bike on the basis of size and weight only.
The smaller the folded size, the squirlier the ride: the smaller the
diameter of the front wheel the less the directional stability. The
Strida (Italian, about $400US) has a 16" wheel, belt drive, light
weight, looks wierd and imo requires a lot of skill to ride. The Dahon
Boardwalk (Chinese, $250US) with it's 20" wheel and chain drive is more
stable and heavier; the Dahon Mariner ($320US) with it's 26" wheel and
mountain-bike look-alike frame is pretty well behaved and heavy (over
32#).

Here's a few sites:

Dahon <http://www.dahon.com/> - $200US - $900US
Brompton <http://www.bromptonbike.com/> $800US - $1,100US
Bike Friday <http://www.bikefriday.com/index.htm> $700US - $1,800US
la Strida <http://www.strida.com/> $400US - $650US
