Hello Jan,
Tank you by your greetings, you are really a polyglot, at the least your
spanish and english sounded pretty good to me (about the the french I still
have to improve this to could say something... and about the dutch I really
couldn't understand even a single word !!). As you requested, I would try to
give
to you some regards about the South-Atlantic area. Actually I know, at the
least a little, the southern brazilian coast but about Argentina and
Uruguay, unafortunately, I don't know that enough.
If you would to sail across the brazilian coast, you must to take a time
to go to Florianópolis that's really an amazing island. Over there you will
find friendly winds and some safe harbours too. If you wanna know some
inland lake, I will invite you to come to Porto Alegre (then, just advise me
please). About the southern open sea, the only thing that I can say is: take
care with the Malvina's channel, the combination wind/current sometimes
brings serious problems. The right time to sail to Terra del Fuego is
between November and April, I think.

el Atlântico sur ? Cuando estes planeando venir por Brasil seras bienvenido
desde Porto Alegre, donde hablo! You pienso que nunca saberei la lengua
yolandesa (dutch), pero claro está que és muy deferente de todas otras que
ya vi.
Português:
Agora ficou bem mais fácil... espero que os amigos que falam espanhol
possam entender o português. Na verdade os idiomas são parecidos, entretanto
me arrisco a dizer que a maioria dos brasileiros não consegue compreender
corretamente o espanhol falado ou escrito.
Para voltar ao tema desta lista, a navegação, vou aproveitar para
perguntar se alguém do grupo possui algum cachorro a bordo. Já li alguma
coisa a respeito e, como gosto muito de cachorros, estava pensando em
recrutar um mascote para a tripulação. Quais são os riscos, vantagens e
desvantagens ? Ok... vou confessar que além das respostas me interessarem,
tem um pouco de sacanagem na pergunta porque em espanhol o significado de
"cachorro" é bem diferente (assim vamos ver se alguém se interessa em
aprender o português).
