Subject: [worldcruising] About Spanish and Portuguese in the list

Hi,
English has always been the official language of worldcruising. If we want to write in Spanish or in Portuguese (which has never occurred so far), then we should consider the idea of having a new list for this purpose.
Creating a new list is a quite simple task. You just have to visit http://www.egroups.com and follow the instructions. I've done this many times. Then, and that's the most difficult part, you have to make people believe this is an important list, and it is worth to join. Participants of worldcruising could be invited to this new list, and they would have to decide whether to join this new list and keep receiving messages in worldcruising, or to choose one of them. Most of them will prefer to ignore it, as they don't speak neither English, nor Portuguese
In my opinion, I think we could have a list to discuss in Spanish and in Portuguese matters concerning the challenges of sailing in all the magnificent places we have off the coast of Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil Guianas, Fernando de Noronha, Abrolhos, Malvinas...
If you want to give it a try, I am myself owner of a list called Velejar. It could be used as a prolegomena, the embryo of the new list. The addresses can be find below.
