I share your concern about the lazarette-mounted steering quadrant.
In my case the lazarette is already plenty full of boat spares! But
I note in the brochures that he has an option whereby the vertical
pillar extends a bit higher up and the contorl cables run across
deck - no extra charge. I was planning to go that way.
Installation sure looks simple - One hole and a couple of struts,
right?
And the fact that Chris Frost at Downwind speaks highly of it carries
a lot of weight with me!
Appreciate your comments. Looks like I may order myself a Christmas
present in the next couple of days!
Any body else have two-cents worth to throw in?
