Grundig Yachtboys do receive side bands. Other posting is incorrect. I've
used a Yachtboy as a backup weather fax receiver with HamComm demodulator
and JV-Fax software for years. No problems at all. Yachtboy comes with
compact external ant on a disk-like reel.
