Ahoy everyone!
I am new to this list so a brief introduction. Colin and I
(Catherine, aka Sailorgirl) sail a CS27 (Forbidden Planet) out of
Marathon Florida although we live and work in Toronto. We have gone
to the Bahamas for a month the last 2 winters and loved every minute
of it. This year we have decided to go a bit further afield and are
heading off to Cuba. Yes, I dumped the desk job!!! Very exciting. We
are planning on going from mid-January to early June. Has anyone been
recently, anyone have any advice, it would be much appreciated. Also,
I am looking for information on insurance, we are not having much
luck. The boat is registered in Florida so Canadian companies will
not insure us, American companies cannot, and Lloyds has a minimum
boat value of $100,000. Cheers and thanks in advance!
