I would certainly think it is possible. Many companies make DC-DC
converters, completely en-capsuled DC-DC bricks. All you need know is the
range of DC input voltages, the output voltage required, and the maximum
continuous or intermittent power required. Cosel, Digital Power,
Integrated Power Designs, and Tamura are some of the companies that
manufacture DC-DC converter modules. To find things like this I like using
the Allied Electronics catalogue or their Web site,
