In latest Sailnet issue there is an article concerning keel bolts.
In my 1982 Beneteau First(30 footer) there are about four bolts holding the
keel and they are very rusty. Oxidation has affected them heavily. Being in
the eve of an extended navigation it worries me and inmediate action has to be
taken.
Most probably the bolts have to be replaced. Can it be done in any boatyard or
it is a complicated job that requires very skilled personnel, can it be done on
the water, etc. ?. Advise and comments are very much welcome.
If any of you have had this experience with Beneteau's I also would
appreciate comments on it.
