On every one I installed the keyboard failed within the warrantee time. This really is not an issue unless you are offshore as the laptop must be sent back to the factory for a replacement. I have two Dell Lattitude laptops onboard, an older one that has been offshore with me and gets abused heavily. I have replaced the CDrom drive once in the three years of sailing with it. I was so happy with the original unit, I bought a new one as a replacement as well as DVD, 700 Mhz processor, etc...

I run JVcom Weatherfax, Chartview Pro and Visual Navigation Suite as well as a number of celestial navigation programs.
