Subject: Re: [worldcruising] Stoves, LPG or Paraffin?

I liked the looks of the Taylors parafin, too, but the guy from Taylors at
SailExpo said not to try going backwards. He said if I was used to my
propane and liked it I would never be willing to put up with the
inconvenience of parafin. FWIW we have an old old vanessa propane stove in
the final stages of rust-out , very bare bones (ie NO safety features) but
its great to cook on.
We went with an owner installed Espar heater ( diesel) which is a terrific
improvement over 110V space heaters. Once we got over cutting holes in the
cabinetry to put it in we are very happy with the choice.
