The starter on my Perkins Prima diesel engine failed this summer. My local
Perkins rep. informed me that a replacement starter would set me back $750
(US) plus. Lucas - the prince of darkness strikes again.
I managed to get the failed starter rebuilt but I don't want to get caught in
the position of having to buy a new starter. Any one out there with
similiar experience with Lucas parts please chime in.
Meanwhile - I will investigate and update this thread wityh my findings if
some interest exists.
