Hi Barry
Thanks for the comment
l am intersted in Radford 415 a new design.Like the others this has a very
long waterline compared to LOA,with almost no overhangs at bow and aft and a
very low freeboard like that of aracer.Much different than conventional
designs. And l am not sure about the behavior of such avessel in various seas
and of course such along waterline ends up in a light displacement boat
which is considered to be suspectibal for offshore work
cheers
cengiz

Cengiz

Radford and Adams designs are common in steel in Australia. I have sailed on
35 and 40 ft examples
Some are called "Radford-Adams" designs. One 50' boat has done well in
Melbourne Osaka 2 handed races.

They are very good sailing boats and well suited to rough conditions of
Southern Australian waters.
The have good lateral stability and are better sailers than the other common
designs here by Roberts.

Radford designs can be purchased with Cad files ready for machine cutout of
steel. and there are ready cut out steel kit available.

Regards

Barry
