It's actually Jim. I jumped into your dialog about the Martec feathering prop. A picture of it is

I used an 18" because that's what specked out with the Yanmar 44 hp engine and 45' trimaran. The prop
has only the required room in between the back of the prop hub and the face of the strut to
accommodate the Spur cutters. From the back of the strut, to the shaft log, I have over 2' so I have
no issue there. Martec should be able to answer your question?
Feathering or folding? I took out a ($22 k) West Mekan hydraulically operated "feathering" 3-blade
prop set up. It is a controllable variable pitch prop. For your reference...

The Martec and others of like kind are folding. They fold when under sail. And they open to a fixed
position when under power. So to me they're folding. You can't adjust the pitch while motoring, which
should be feathering?
