You are absolutely right to be concerned. I would never consider a turbo
engine as an auxillary on a sailboat. I happen to love my 76 HP 4-236
Perkins; it does a great job of pushing our 50,000 lb. boat through tide
rips! If you can find a used or re-built, go for it. Otherwise, check out the
newer model (67 HP):
