    Hi Mel
    My understanding is that the low rpm problem is not much of a problem since
    just in the nature of things you will rev her up enough to blow out the
    cobwebs. My Twin Disc transmissions have a trolling bypass that allows
    speeds well below what would be deliverd at a given rpm.
    FWIW I love my Twin Discs,simple ,light-weight, uncooled and with a drive
    plate canted at 10 deg and offset down 5" require only 2' of shaft before
    log. This last is something Paul and others in the planning stage might find
    of advantage.
