    Dick,

    Many of the solutions suggested are very good. I did not see anyone mention
    the really neat notebook table offered by DeLorme in Maine. They produce the
    Street Atlas software for GPS/land navigation. Check out their web site at
    http://mapstore.delorme.com/ and you'll see the articulating table they call
    the Jotto Desk. It comes with a variety of hardware to accommodate most any
    installation requirement. I own one and have been very pleased with it's
    performance.

    I also own some of the Ram Mount stuff for my photo gear and agree with the
    others that it is good too. It's just that this Jotto Desk is so perfectly
    designed for the notebook that for $149 I solved my problem.
