    TWListees:

I have a laptop with 14" TFT screen loaded with navigational software which
I find very useful... except when the glare off the water makes viewing the
computer screen quite difficult (bordering on impossible) and causes my
tired eyes to go bonkers. I need help.

I have been looking around for an articulating/adjustable platform that can
be mounted to the console at the lower (pilothouse) helm station to which
I could attach my laptop. I want to be able to make continuous adjustments
to the viewing angle of the laptop as I change positions and as lighting
    and other conditions change.

I have seen such devices advertized that are designed to hold good size
monitors at traditional computer work stations. Does anyone have any
suggestions as to how I might marry a laptop to such a device? Any
    recommendations? Sources?

Also I have thought of putting blinds of some sort over one or more of my
PH windshields to cut down on the glare... and I may. However, it sure
would be nice to adjust the position my laptop (1) to optimize viewing no
matter the lighting inside or outside the pilothouse and (2) to free up
space at the worksurface to accomodate my backup paper charts.
