Found an oil analysis kit marketed by Mobil Oil in my local Auto Zone
automotive parts house today. According to the box "all laboratory tests are
conducted on behalf of Mobil by Titan Laboratories." "Through a series of
more than 50 tests..... analyzing the elements in your oil can help determine
the condition of your engine." The kit consists of a small bottle, a gummed
label with a few questions on the brand, weight, age, etc of the oil and a
postage paid box to send it to Titan in Denver. They say results in one week
from receipt and a phone call if dangerous condition is detected. Can be
used for motor, transmission or differential oil. Cost $9.95. Titan was
one of the labs mentioned by Captnwil.

    Boatless, but looking :-)
