Trying to improve modern motor oil is a very chancy. Consider that the
amount of oil used by non-commercial users is very small as compared to the
commercial users. Oil companies will do all they can to keep their large
customers, and any "super" additive would make them a bunch of money. They
make the best oil with the best additives they can to gain and keep big
customers.
In my investigation of bypass oil filters I read technical reports from, and
interviewed several commercial and government users of diesel engines that
ran long and hard. None of them used any after-market oil additive.
Look to the engine API requirements for the engine's oil requirements and
then keep it clean.
