The top of my rudder shaft is pitted around the top seal. That is why it's
leaking. To fix the problem I need to buy a new rudder at $475.00 plus install
cost. I would think that a rudder should last more then 4 years. After
replacing the rudder what would one do to make sure this problem does not happen
again. I own a 34 American Tug and have been told there are several other tug's
out there with the same problem.
