    Just another style packing. Same stuff inside. To replace the stuffing you remove the nuts and lift the center up. To stop the leak just tighten the nuts which draw down the center which puts pressure on the packing. YA RIGHT!!!!!!? Most likely the center is frozen in the housing. If you tighten the nuts they'll just bend the ears. If the unit hasn't been serviced in some time it'll need some TLC. Getting the center to move?upwards first sometimes removing the studs and turning will get it going. Last time I adjusted mine I had to use a pry bar. Sometimes a BFH is in order.
