I've used the exact setup you describe for the last 7 years on my 34 ton
Krogen 54 with 1/2" chain. And I use basically the same procedure as Marin
Faure describes in his response. It's worked very well for me in sustained winds
of 45-50 knots with gusts to 60-62.
