It's a good thing you are anchored. St, Michael's Marina has a been known to
reach through a boater's mist and into his pocketbook down to the quick...by
hook or by crook as they say. I too have traveled many miles and, in terms
of marina honesty, they are the most deceptive.

Skinwalker Log, May 22, 2008, Thursday, 0810 hrs

On a hidden dock festooned with no docking signs we are somewhere on the
    Baltimore, Maryland waterfront.

Yesterday we learned about the flow of time and motion and the reality of the
cruisers mist. We remembered suddenly to be flexible as one enjoys the mist
of cruising pleasure and life it self.

We have seen hundreds of towns, villages, bridges, locks and other cruisers
    as
they enter and pass through our bubble of mist. We have oozed along twenty
thousand miles in four years and this year has been appointed as time to
    enjoy
    our second great loop experience.

The fluidity of our cruising has prevailed and in a sudden jolting flux of
emotion, our lax schedule has flexed, creating a warp in our life of constant
motion, provoking without rhyme or reasons an unpredicted tack. Moving hard
and fast is over for now.

We have decided to slow down and travel much less distance each year and
    enjoy
each area more in-depth. We will not be completing the Great American Loop
again this year. After approximately two hours of discussion and a good
sleep, Captn Lynnie and I have agreed to spend the summer based in Baltimore
at Hendersons Marina, enjoying the immediate area, enjoying the cruisers
mist of the Upper Chesapeake and side excursions to Washington DC, Annapolis,
Philadelphia & likely New York City.

We cannot say it is a matter of money of fuel cost nor can we say it is the
wear and tear on the boat nor on ourselves, although those things are likely
sub-conscious contributing factors. All we can say is it feels right. The
idea makes us feel lighter, more jubilant, more content with our lot. Our
Jello has jiggled us in a new direction, our cruisers mist has changed
texture and color and we embrace it with the same gusto that drove us to
    explore the last four years.

    Wayne & Lynn Flatt
We will be spending the weekend leisurely at anchor in the Chesapeake near
    St.
    Michaels, Maryland
