I own examples of both fans, which my wife, the perennial bargain hunter, has found on "end cap specials" at Target and on Closeout at WalMart. All of them were very inexpensive. We own one of the recharge/multi source powered fans and 3 or 4 of the others...we have two for the RV, two for the boat and one for Boy Scout campouts (if I'm not backpacking). We also have a mini-fan/light combo by coleman that works well for hot summer tent camping.

All of these fans work great. I get several nights of run time on a set of batteries, so power for short trips hasn't been a problem. Surprisingly, the ones kept on our little sailboat show little signs that the humidity/salt air have hurt them. That boat is dry stored outside by the water, so conditions are harsh.
