    Hello,
I am looking to change the name on the stern on my new to me boat. It is
painted with Sky Blue Awlgrip (3 yrs ago) and the boat name is painted on top
of that. I have been advised to use MEK or Easy Off Oven cleaner to remove
the name. MEK did not work at all. Easy Off did remove the name but it left
white streaks on the paint. I tried to buff out the streaks using Finesse It
polish which helped some but still there.
I have 4 holes through the transom from the removal of a wooden scupture
the prior owner had bolted through the transom. I filled the holes with West
System epoxy and dowels covered in the epoxy.
I have several other spots on the boat that have cracks in the paint or
chips so I need to fix.
        My questions
    1) the holes are not flush yet - should I finish with epoxy? gel-coat?
    2) Awlgrip does not sell Sky Blue touch-up but does sell White touch-up - can
    I tint it to match?
    3) Any suggestions on getting the ghosting/streaks off the transom or should I
    just repaint the transom?
    4) If I repaint, can I just roll and tip?

The prior owner left about a pint of SkyBlue paint but not the #2 converter or
the thinner for roll and tip.

    Any and all suggestions welcome.
