Mike,
Spent considerable time in the Cayman Islands, have
witnessed a number of waterspouts, natives say they
are common...(I observed from land as they appeared at
sea......proximity to equator???)
A friend living there maintains that when they move
over land they collapse....she has heard that they
have damaged structures with the weight of the water
when it dumps....but that's about it....
