Jim Gano notes: "...the Walbro has a timer so I can have polishing take
place at specific times (I have it run 4 hours every day of the week)...."
When I went to copy Jim's timer idea on my boat, I didn't need to have an
automated daily timer because, unlike his current situation, my boat lives
very close by. I found a 0- to 12-hour wind-up timer at Home Depot I use
whenever I feel the need to polish the fuel in one of my four tanks.
I am sure Jim's Walbro pump can be left in the "ON" condition for the time
he might need the electric pump to back up a failed mechanical lift pump,
but one thing to watch out for is timers with time-only ability and no
"just-on" position.
