Ft Lauderdale customs officer who issues the cruising
permits states that unless moving into a seperate
customs zone, i.e. Ft Lauderdale to Miami, and
stopping in the new zone for more than 24 hrs, then a
check in phone call is required, no requirement to
call before exiting each zone only on entry if staying
more than 24 hrs, includes cruising time within the
zone.
He admits lots of confusion among the various officers
but states his explanation is is the correct one.
Thats the info he gave me last week.
