"I am having a problem with my Kohler 13.5 KW generator. After about running
for 3-4 hours, it quits. I can restart it, however, it only runs for a few
minutes and then quits again."
We had a similiar problem last year with our
Gen. Turned out to be a defective water temp sensor -- even though the Gen
was not running hot, the sensor was shutting down the engine anyway.
We
bypassed the sensor to test it and all worked fine -- after replacement of the
sensor we have not had a problem.
I would look at both the water temp sensor
and the oil pressure sensor.
