Amen to that. Don't think I have ever used 7:1 scope but then our
depths > 50' are like adding a kellet. Hmmm, lets see, 50' + 10 for
the bow + 15' tide range X 7 is 525' out - I can just make it!

can't think of a single reason why you even consider using a kellet.
