It's not portable, but I've had a Force 10 vented heater on Winnie the Pooh
for 10 years now. It puts out 6000 btu on high, the same as a 1500 watt
electric portable heater. It's easier to install than most propane heaters,
because it uses a SST pipe flue only 1" in diameter for the stack vent. Of
course you have to run copper or plastic LPG approved hose for the propane
and have a 10 or 20 lb tank somewhere in a vented locker. It's attractive,
built entirely of stainless and brass, and has a handy top shelf for heating
a mug of water, coffee, or milk. Never had a problem with it, and it really
helps take the chill off on those cool fall evenings when cruising down the
    ICW.

presently in Stuart, FL and northbound for Canada and the Trent Severn
    waterway.
