An important part was left out of the original post. Is this a VacuFlush
Vacuum Generator (pump on top of tank) or a VacuFlush system with a remotely
mounted pump?
If it is a vacuum generator it is very important to not disturb the uniseal
during changing of the duckbills or the problem will get worse than it was. I
speak from experience. Every time I would address the duckbills, I would
move the entire unit slightly which caused the 90 degree elbow in the uniseal to
move, thus creating a vacuum leak.

I agree that it should not cycle. I installed mine and can hear the
vacuum pump in the salon when the head is flushed but have only once
heard it cycle on it's own. I found that it was sucking the water out
of the bowl because of some debris on the seal at the flush valve.

My new vacuflush system's vacuum pump recycles every 90 minutes,
service gut
says this meets factory specs. Seams unreasonable. Any opinions on
this?
