    In a tight system, the pump will not come on more than once a day, and maybe
    even not that often. Mine were leaking at various rates, but a few new parts
    solved the issues. If your system is new, look for leaks at joints. With all
    other systems shut down to eliminate extraneous sounds, if you put your ear
    close you should be able to hear a leak which is as fast as you described.
