T&T: Belts for twin beklt alternators

    I was also told matched belts are no longer required nor available. Gates brand I believe. So I installed a pair of alternators each with twin belts. On each, one belt was a bit looser than the other initially, but did grip. When I snugged up the belts via the adjustment arm the following year, the tighter one seemed a bit looser and now they appear to grip about equally. So my experience with unmatched belts was ok.
