The forward head/shower in my boat is just aft of the rope locker (I know,
bad
place for a head, but it's there). I've just about finished up with the
shower
but can't decide if I want to put a door or curtain on the shower stall. The
head has a door that closes it off to the stateroom and the shower is forward
of the head. I have a really nice glass door but am concerned about adding
more weight in this area, especially after my admittedly overbuilding of the
windlass platform and associated hull reinforcements including an attatchment
point for a bow tow point and structures to tie the bollards into the hull.
All in all I've added a lot of weight up front. Anyway,,, what would you
consider to be more important, or preferable, a door or a curtain ?
I removed BOTH forward and aft shower glass doors from my boat when I bought
her. Not for weight issues but because that much glass bothered me. Also,
much easier to toss the curtains in the laundry from time to time for cleaning
or replace them for some cheap new decor
